Scott Smith of Chicagoist wrote this post about a group of artists staging an art show on the El tonight.
“…we’re taking back the spaces taken over by private corporations, turning them into places for artwork to be viewed and having a party at the same time.”
Kind of similar to Derek’s idea about creating a non-profit to rent advertising space in trains and stations for public art rather than commercial advertising. Except without asking.
