Support for gay marriage closely follows age, a PollingPlace.com poll shows.
So, it seems clear to me that American society will someday look back on those fighting for their repressed definition of the word “marriage” with the same distaste that we now look back on those that fought against the civil rights movement. You’d think we’d have more Gavin Newsom’s out there, taking a stand for what will become widely accepted civil rights.
I’m glad to see that support for civil unions is low. Separate but equal is not acceptable.
Another chart shows support for a constitutional gay marriage ban is highest among married couples, and decreases in those who have have been through failed marriages or never been married.
So, do the 10% in “partnerships” that support a ban just think marriage is a stupid idea anyway?
